Former Kelantan MB Mohamed Yaacob dies

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Kelantan Mentri Besar Tan Sri Mohamed Yaacob died at the Pantai Hospital here at 6am Tuesday.

His body was taken to his daughter’s house in Taman Tun Dr Ismail here at 9.30am. He is expected to be buried at Bukit Kiara Muslim cemetery at 1.30pm.

Mohamed Yaacob was mentri besar of Kelantan from 1978, the last Barisan Nasional leader to hold the post, until Opposition party PAS took over the state after the 1990 general election.
